Security Marking Vehicles with Derbyshire Police

Derbyshire Safer Neighbourhood Police officers are set to take to the road to host their second security marking day in Carsington, nr. Ashbourne, Derbyshire.

Security Marking Vehicles

Police are hosting a day of security marking vehicles near Ashbourne. Land Rover owners and cyclists are being encouraged to visit the team on Sunday, June 21 to further protect their property against thieves.

Between 9am and 3pm, officers will be on hand at Carsington Water, Ashbourne to security mark vehicles and bikes for free with SmartWater kits.

SmartWater is a forensic based security marking fluid that can be used on property from bikes, electrical items and jewellery to help deter criminals.

Why Security Mark Vehicles?

Marking items with security kits such as SmartWater can improve the chances of police returning any items if they are stolen and recovered. The liquid smart water is visible under UV light and helps to make your treasured items much easier to trace.

The Police team are looking to host further security marking days over the next few months. To keep up to date with upcoming events in your community, visit www.derbyshire.police.uk .
